About the event
Join us for a condensed version of the most recent offerings Mo has shared with the amazing students at Studio Gaia. PLUS some additional tricks she has up her sleeve to increase your health and happiness while combating winter sickness and depression, or to simply feel GOOD!
We all know how daunting the winter blues can get...Lack of Vitamin D means lack of energy, which means depression, weakened immune system, cold and flu, etc....
This workshop will consist of a variety of breathing techniques, gentle movements, and a few other tips for boosting your Prana (energy) and immune system.
After, we will relax to the sounds of the Sidereal Moon Gong, Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, Koshi Chimes, Ocean Drum, and Rain Stick.
One last thing...
Imagine that beautiful sun loving house plant that you have in your window at home (if you don't have any plants, let's pretend;)). It needs the Sun, which gives the plant energy and life! It IS your plant's main source of food. Well, what do you think would happen if you took that plant away from the window and put it in your closet? It would lose color and wilt. Essentially the plant becomes sick. Now imagine YOU are the house plant! Because YOU rely on sunlight just as much at that plant does. And when our time outdoors is limited due to cold temperatures we start to respond just like the plant would. We get sick! and sad!
Our lack of Vitamin D is directly linked to seasonal depression and illnesses. This is why it is so important to move, breathe, and stimulate the energy within, especially during this time of year. These can all also be incorporated into your daily self care practices to maintain your energy and health on and everyday basis.
After all, the great Yogi Bhajan did say, "Keep up and you will be kept up"! ♥
